Are they badass? Of course they are.
After almost two weeks of dedicated testing, it is finally time to review these gloves. Now let me clarify, when I say dedicated, I'm talking about one of Europe's harshest winters in years and roady duties, but more of that later. First impression: After some amazingly fast shipping and handling, the gloves arrived just in time for my birthday. Now, I have worn fingerless gloves for years and usually I break one pair once a year or sooner, because the quality is rubbish. This experience has taught me where to look: The Velcro and fingers are often weak spots. Not so on these gloves: Smell and feel (apart from the little sign of course) tell you this is the real deal, flawless, smooth leather, held together by perfect, precise stitches - not a loose thread to be found. The attention to detail on the palms is lovely.
As for their purpose: Are they badass? Of course they are. Their exotic look has earned me many a curious or jealous glance. Are they useful? Definitely. As a proud owner of many handheld devices, I usually shun wearing regular gloves even during the coldest months, because taking them off every few minutes is too much of a hassle. While the first few minutes might feel weird, you'll never want to part with the shooting gloves after a day already. Are they warm? As much as any pair of leather gloves, really. We're having minus Celsius degrees in the double-digits here and I haven't lost any digits yet, so I consider this a success. Are they sturdy? Yes. Hours of carrying and fixing equipment and spilling a bottle of cider left the padding on the palms flaw and spotless.
Conclusion: I'm still a little speechless when I look at them. Great product from a great team. Ten out of five stars.
