My Jenova trench coat arrived in the mail today. I was amazed that it only took 5 days to ship all the way to Australia.
I must admit when I held the coat for the first time I started to shake. It is absolutely awe-inspiring and beautiful in every aspect.

Worth Every Single Penny!

Fits me great, which I was really worried about because I’m a pretty small (5”6’) and lightweight (125 lbs.) guy. This was worth every single penny spent and I can’t wait to put it to some good use, whether that is a costume party or maybe a goth/industrial club.
Keep up the great work, and if the prices on the Enigma stay where they are, I’ll be getting another one of those in a couple months. YOU ALL JUST KEEP DOING WHAT YOU DO!!!

My favourite coat ever!
Just a quick note to let you know that I received my Jenova Trench on May 7th and that I think its my favourite coat ever! The fit is perfect and everything about the coat looks great! I think people should know that the coat not only looks great as a fantasy inspired coat, but also as a coat you could wear everyday. Even people who don't know its design origin always give me positive comments.

On first taking it out of the box, I was absolutely stunned - it looks gorgeous! While I was trying it on, the rest of the family came in, and they all agree that it's brilliant.

You’ll Be Happy With What You Get.
I write this review for Abbyshot’s model of Sephiroth’s cloak. I will begin with what I liked, and go on to what I didn’t like, giving both as objectively as possible, and finish with what I actually think of the item and my recommendations for buying it.
Starting with the things I liked, nowhere better to start than with the material. The artificial leather is of excellent quality, and even people who have touched it have been unable to tell the difference. It’s warm, but not sweltering. It’s hard to rip, and the lining looks and feels great. Since it’s a copy of Sephiroth’s cloak, the only pocket is for the wearer’s left hand, an accuracy that I was glad to see. On the whole, the cloak is an accurate representation, crossing the original game’s design with Advent Children’s (it has AC’s collar and buckles, with the slightly shorter length from the original game).
For the things I didn’t like, I’ll start with one that’s my fault. Since I’m tall and have long arms, the closure system doesn’t work that well for me, since it works partly by pressure from the wearer’s body. This is nothing against the coat, but if you’re going to get one, I strongly recommend ordering exactly to your chest size if possible, and if it’s not, go to the smaller one. The collar, while very cool looking when worn, has never really stayed in place for me, and tends to slip down my shoulders. It hasn’t really gotten better with time. The artificial leather is also a bit stiff, especially when I try to cross my arms. It also seems, when I try to wear it shirtless, that it exposes less chest than the original. I’m not totally sure on that, but if it is, that was kind of a weird thing to change.
Now, for my thoughts on it. I have been an adoring fan of Sephiroth’s for twelve years now. When I originally bought this, the pocket was for the right hand. For those of you who have lived under a rock for over a decade, Sephiroth is left handed, and that inaccuracy absolutely killed me. It really wore on me, since Sephiroth is someone so dear to me. When AbbyShot noticed that (mostly due to my incessant bitching) and corrected it, I was very grateful, and elated. Its few and minor flaws are something that don’t bother me, and it’s dead stylish.
For whether or not you should actually buy it, I’m going to say this is not a coat for everyone. The truth of the matter is that for the $300 price tag, if you don’t know who Sephiroth is, you can probably get a coat that covers you better and is generally more practical to wear. However, if you’re a fan of the One Winged Angel, look like him, or are left handed, than I would recommend you at least consider buying this, you’ll be happy with what you get.
